How Does iPhone 5 Affect Apple TV?

Well, as everyone knows, the iPhone 5 is no longer a figment of our collective imaginations. In approximately 5 1/2 hours, Apple's servers will be brought to their knees under the strain placed upon them.

Millions of iPhone orders will be logged in a matter of hours. So, how will this mystical/magical new device play with our favorite media streamer? Let's discuss....

Interestingly enough, according to Tech Radar, "The iPhone 5, however, supports only the wireless video-out option." Does that mean the HDMI adapter will no longer work with the iPhone 5? Yes it does, but odds are if you're on this site, you own Apple TV. And if you own Apple TV, you don't give a shit because you're going to use Airplay anyway.

Tech Radar continues: "The new iPhone can use Apple's AirPlay Wi-Fi tech to stream 1080p to a third-gen Apple TV or 720p to a second-gen device. Both devices can also mirror the iPhone 5's screen wirelessly at 720p."
